While the rooster is away...

everyone else gets to play. (My hubby and Owen flew out to Arizona to see his family for the weekend. His brother is getting a new calling and Steven wanted to surprise him with his presence.)

So what fun things have we been doing? Kim went over to my sister's house last night for a slumber/pedi/mani party. She was super excited to go to Nikki's but getting to have her nails painted was super awesome.

I went on a super hot date with this fellow...
(This pic was taken after he finished licking the spatula from Kim's chocolate cake.)

We headed off to Logan's choice of dinner.....McDonalds. Then we did some shopping (Logan actually loves to shop with me and frequently requests "one more store".)

Today, we went to Lowes for their kid's clinic and made this...
The super cool LowBot. It's a combination race car and robot. It had 29 nails to hammer in. Try doing that with a 3 year old and you too would permanently assign this job to your husband.

Then we celebrated Kim's birthday. She had some friends over.

These lovely ladies sang along with Camp Rock (and other Misc. Disney songs) on the PS2. They ate cake, decorated their craft and made fun of Kim. It was a fun little party.

Here is Logan's craft that he did all by himself. (I would post a pic of Kim's but I forgot to take one before it moved upstairs and I'm just too lazy to head up with the camera.)So all in all, things have been fun here in Idaho. Lots of cleaning and laundry, but with Owen gone lots less cleaning to do. :)

Cut back on all the good stuff

So I got a call from my OB office today. I'm told that I just barely passed the 3 hour glucose-tolerance test. Which means I don't have gestational diabetes, but I'm really close. So....I don't need to take any drastic steps (like test my blood sugar or take insulin) But I do have to cut back on sugar and carbs.

No more of these....
Cut back on this....

They are taking away the last of my pregnancy simple pleasures. And they also told me I have to do more...

Now that woman looks happy. I bet it is her first child. Plus, she gets to walk on the beach. I live in Idaho, no beach in site. I'm lucky if it gets up into the 40s as the daily high. Not to mention I also have to wrangle two little boys while exercising. Maybe I will just climb the stairs in my house a little more often.

Evan needs to be the best behaved baby alive to make up for all this.

I HATE being pregnant.....

To all those women out there that have wonderful pregnancies and love the "glow" and all that crap...don't bother reading on.

Today is laundry day. I am blessed with a laundry room on the second floor of my home which is wonderful because I just grab the laundry from my bathroom and carry it over (Kim has to get the clothes from her bathroom so that saves me some time and effort, but I have to listen to the whining until I point out that she could help me sort, wash, dry, fold and put away all those clothes. She promptly stops whining and does the job.)

But I have to walk upstairs all day long to switch over the loads. Today I have 6 loads to do. (For some reason the clothes got busy this week and went forth and multiplied because I normally only have 4ish loads.) That means my fat pregnant self has to walk up those stairs way too many times today. So many times I don't even want to do the math to figure out all those trips.

So as I'm bending over sorting the clothes and heartburn starts to act up I have decided that I am officially DONE being pregnant!

I feel and look fat. I waddle around all day picking up toys and cleaning.

(I know you are wondering if this is an actual picture...Pretty close.)

My hips hurt from sleeping on my side and from carrying Owen all day because he is sick and breaking through his molars (which I discovered at lunch today, yea me).

My back aches all day long.

My face is totally broken out and gross.

Evan has been beating me up more than any of the others. He is kicking my ribs all the time. I wouldn't be too surprised if one of them gets cracked before I give birth. (Sometimes I can understand the pain that Bella experienced when she was pregnant. Okay, Evan isn't half vampire, unless Steven has something to tell me, but it hurts.)

Keep in mind this is my 4th pregnancy. I fully intended to be done after Owen was born. (In fact, a dear friend of mine, Jen, about fell over from shock when I told her I was pregnant again.) According to my due date I only have 65 more days. That seems like a death sentence. I know I have tons of things to get done before this kids arrives (come on, with 3 boys am I going to be able to ANYthing done? I don't think so) but I'm ready to be done! Maybe I just need to get working on the list-of-things-to-do and time will pass quicker. Unfortunately I found this cartoon that is just a little too true. (Just substitute "Chips and salsa or Cheez-its" for the "Ice Cream".

A Long Hot Shower and Michael Buble

I know what you are thinking...get your mind out of the gutter. Okay, I need the distraction....as we are already in the gutter it wouldn't be Michael Buble in the shower. (Although he is an attractive looking man the last TV appearance I saw of him he was looking a little pudgy.)

Just in case you were wondering who I would like in the shower....

Can I say YUMMY! (Steven don't worry, we all know that it will never, ever happen, but a girl can dream. And yes I am aware that anytime we watch a movie with any of the above pictured men you won't be happy.)

Okay, now that the fun is over we will get to the point of this post. Today was a crazy day. I have two ridiculously cute little boys. (I would post a pic, but I'm typing on my new Netbook which currently doesn't have any pictures on it.) Both of which are sick with colds and not sleeping well. What does this mean for the wonderful stay-at-home mom. Two children climbing all over me and whining all day. Just before lunch the whining from Owen escalated to crying. He wouldn't calm down and set Logan off. I put down my cross-stitch and snuggled both boys. (Which had been happening on and off all morning.) They continued to whine and cry. I had one of my ipod buds in listening to music and so I put the other up to Owen's ear (it was too big to fit into his little ear) and he calmed down some. Logan not wanting to be left out requested a bud. After going back and forth for several minutes I decided to put my ipod in the dock so we could all listen. I cranked up the Michael Buble song and started dancing. Logan quickly joined in. I picked up Owen and started dancing with him. May I just say that I appreciate my boy's good taste in music and Michael Buble for singing it.

After getting the boys fed and in bed (yes, they both take an afternoon nap) I took a nice, long, hot shower to wash off all the boogies. It was a much better place for me to be. Perhaps thinking of what I wanted to blog about helped some....thinking of the hotties who I could pretend would ever enter my shower. ;)

Momma said "There would be days like this...."

Do you ever have a day that you just want to throw up your hands, shake your head and walk out the front door to never return again? Well, today was almost that day for me.

Don't get me wrong....I love my children. They are my world and quite frankly....the reason I climb out of bed in the morning. But today....they almost didn't survive.

I realized this blog would get really, really long if I walked you through my day....so you will get the Reader's Digest version.

The above pictured child decided that after keeping his pull-up dry all night long that it would be a great idea to have not one, but TWO accidents today. The first involving him standing spread eagle (well, as much as a little boy can given his "parts") and letting it all drip onto my kitchen floor. The second occasion was after his nap and after the discussion that we go pee on the potty and not the floor. ARGH!

The next occurance of the day was committed by this adorable boy pictured above. (That is him doing his "smooshy face.") I admit he is totally adorable, which is probably the only thing that saved him after this......This is my 1000 piece puzzle that I have been working on for a couple weeks. These are the pieces I had all connected together and had to scoop off the floor were they had been savagely ripped apart. I had managed to successfully keep the puzzle out of his hands until today by only working on it during nap or after he had gone to bed and hiding it underneath the couch in the living room where the children don't play. Now I must start ALL OVER.

Lastly, but not least, this attractive young girl got sent to her room this evening. She has the simple task of wiping down the table after dinner and sweeping the floor. (Keep in mind we just caught a mouse in our house Saturday night and need to keep food off the floor.) She was sweeping, decided she was done and put the broom away. Steven told her there was still a bunch of crumbs on the floor. She does the eye-rolling, heavy-sigh and gets the broom. After several minutes of pushing the broom around the floor I tell her to actually put some pressure on the broom and sweep. She gets exasperated and moans. At which point I break and tell her to go to her room and not come down until her attitude is gone. (We ended up having to send Logan to retrieve her so we could start FHE so I guess we are heading straight into those teenage years.)

AHHHHHHHHH.....this was a horrible day. Hopefully tomorrow is much better. Normally my kids are great and I have few problems. I don't know what got into them today. I guess I'd better go sweep the floor since Kim never finished. I don't want anymore more mice in my house!

Under Construction

I'm in the process of crafting a Pulitzer prize winning blog. I just can't seem to get it right...hopefully tomorrow...assuming I don't get to distracted with my puzzle. :)

Believe it or not...I am still alive....

I know I haven't posted anything in an while, but when you have to run to the bathroom every couple hours to puke, lose 10 pounds and just feel really, really crappy the last thing you want to do is write a blog. Don't get me wrong, I wrote blogs in my head that I wanted to post, but I just couldn't get together with my computer and internet to make it happen.

Melissa tagged me and wants to know 10 truths about me.... Ready or not, here we go....

1. I LOVE reading. While in bed puking, I decided to start clearing out my bookshelf. I probably got through 10 novels. My husband missed my company last year as I tore through the Twilight and Love Comes Softly Series. (And yes, I did this will all of my previous pregnancies also.)

2. I HATE being pregnant and am glad this will be the last time. Four kids is plenty. I wish three kids ago we could have implanted a uterus in my hubby, but that just wasn't an option. At least the relatively-simple births of my children makes up for the intense puking.

3. I prefer to sit at home and do nothing to going out. I like to watch TV or a movie, work on my latest cross-stitch, read a book. It is just so soothing to lay around in PJs on the couch with my hubby.

4. I miss college. I wish I would have finished my degree. (Dang Mr. Logan and his messing up my school schedule with his conception.) But at least I have decided what I want to be when I grow up and can change my degree accordingly, because I not longer want to be an accountant.

5. I want a blonde-hair, blue eyed baby. This has been my dream since my teenage years and I totally thought it would happen since that is what I am and those were the boys I was attracted to. But a 1/4 asian kid later and 2 Ray clones I am sadly disappointed. I am still holding onto the small glimmer of hope that baby #4 could fulfull this wish.

6. I am obsessed with my ipod. (My husband regrets getting it for me.) Between the Armstrong & Getty podcasts, my extensive music files and Cookie Solitaire my sons are left to watch PBS all morning.

7. I am totally into canning. If I hadn't have gotten pregnant I would have done beans, tomatoes, potatoes, salsa and I wouldn't be missing out on applesauce right now. I look forward to next year, I even bought a water bath canner and pressure cooker, now I just need an outdoor stove to use them on.

8. I get my hair cut maybe once a year. I just don't make it to SuperCuts often. I figure my hair is pulled back 6 days of the week why bother. (Yes, I know that Sara is dying right now, but I just can't bring myself to spend the money on a haircut more often.)

9. I love goodwill....well, thrift stores in general. DI, Savers, Other Mothers and Kid to Kid. I love getting cute clothes for my kids and myself at a fraction of the cost anywhere else. Plus you can find some wonderful finds there. (Enter the two boppys that i scored for $3. Yes that was both of them.)

10. I am very big on family. I love my kids and they just make me laugh everyday. I have the single greatest husband in the world. (Who else would go to Poli Sci and Humanities to take notes for their wife for 2 months? Keep in mind, he already graduated from college and this was after coming home from 8 hours of work, then making dinner, correcting Kim's homework and throw in all the other household chores you can imagine.) My parents are amazing and never hesitate to talk to my 3 year old about his potty success. My siblings are just too much fun for words.

Ah, 10 very not interesting things about me. I sadly realized while doing this exercise that I am rather boring. I should work on that. :)

Guess I am suppost to tag someone....don't know who reads my blog so I pick Lindsay....we had great times together at the Sign Post.
